Completely disagree with this review.
I found the film absorbing and unpredictable. Loved it.

Oh man we just recorded a review of Schindler's List which ended up turing into a discussion about "character study" films. There were 2 or 3 funny moment in the film but they were derived from a very dark place to be sure. I agree though any movie or comedian that makes fun of Rocky just doesn't understand.

I haven't seen either this review seems to gel with what I've heard. Lots of talking I guess Tarintino forgot the old adage of screenwriting to show and not tell?

Regretabbly, no. But that might have been too much to ask of the director of assorted (bad) Duran Duran and Elton John music videos, plus the first two Highlanders.

Funny Cage story today actaully. I'm at the local hip movie rental place where they have their stuff organized by directors and actors of prominence. This woman askes the guy if they have a Nick Cage section? He says no. She askes where she could find Peggy Sue Got Married? I say Coppola. Then I ask if they have a David Mamet section (we're doing Mamet March or trying on the futilepodcast) he says no. So I figure I'll get a job there until this podcast thing starts printing it's own money.

Oh, it's an amazing film alright. Amazing in the way that most Nick Cage films tend to be.

Watch the original, that one's actually good, in a non-ironic way.
